Hello, my name is Rio Kamali. I am a Senior at Clarkstown North, and I have my summer researching The Effects of Elective Plastic Surgery on the Emotional and Social Well Being of Patients Post-Op
I am in 11th grade at Clarkstown North and I always strive to do my best academically. Throughout my journey in the Science Research program at Clarkstown North, I have studied a variety of topics, but nothing clicked with me. Towards the middle of my Sophomore year, I realized my project needed to be not only something that I would be able to discover new innovations for, but something that actually mattered to me. I found that dance was an escape for me mentally, since I have Anxiety. I decided to look into and research how dance can be used as a therapy for neurodegenertive disorders, with a focus on Parkinson's Disease.
My life is centered around dancing. I attend 4 weekly classes alongside Saturday training.
As a co-founder of the 501(c)(3) non profit, I make it my goal to aid my community on a local and global scale by providing service to the enviornment.
As a young kid, I was always interested in music and acting. Now, I am involved in my own performces and working for my company.
