Welcome to my page!
I am currently a Senior at Clarkstown North and this is my third year in the Science Research Program.
My first year, I studied neonatal sepsis. I decided to take things in a different direction after interning at the Hurd Lab at Mount Sinai the following summer. Our research was neuroscience-based, exploring addiction and translational research. I found my interest for neuroscience and decided to research Multiple Sclerosis (MS), especially its correlation with Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV), as my focus my second year of Science Research.
This past summer, I interned with the Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. I continue to explore MS/neuroscience research, but this year, I decided to utilize my interest in health disparities research for my project due to the larger amount of online resources for this topic. My project this year focused on differences in cancer mortality by racial/ethnic group.
