Hello! My name is Diana Marquez and I am a senior at Clarkstown High School North. This is my second year being a part of the Science Research class. Over the past two years, I have been researching oral related topics, as I hope to become an orthodontist in the future. I will be attending Binghamton University in the fall for Global Public Health on a Pre-Dental track! Below is the poster for my research:
During junior year, I began researching and reading articles, leading to want to conduct my own experiment to survey college students in order to see if there was a relation between bruxism and stress within the selected population. However, I was unable to find a population sample to give the survey out to.
At the beginning of this school year, I switched my research over to data analytics. I analyzed data from the CDC, looking for relations between bruxism and sleep disorders such as snoring and sleep apnea. In the beginning of November, I submitted my research to Regeneron Science Talent Search. To the top right is my research paper:
