Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, the issues regarding online learning have received their due reverence. Countless students, across the globe, experienced this period of disconnect, and upon having their independence tested, felt either great elation, or incredible disarray. I am a part of the latter group, and in light of that year spent in the dark, I joined the science research program to bring about change. Over the past year I have studied a variety of topics, starting at 'wanting to do cognitive psychology' and ending with a plan to rectify schooling's flaws through the implementation of cognitive learning strategies. By meticulously researching the facets of cognitive facilitation, especially in an online environment, one could bring about opportunities for anyone with internet access. Our nation wasn't ready for a pandemic then, and although we hope against all hope that we won't repeat it, we should still be prepared.
