Our sound for this week is in Unit 33. There are two sounds:

Core sounds for oy include:

• oy as in boy

• oi as in coin

Extension sounds for oy include:

• uoy as in buoy

Make a list or think of as many words as you can that have the 'oy’ sound in them. Try and read through the words in your spelling list.

Core sounds for eer include:

• eer as in deer

• ear as in ear

Extension sounds for eer include:

• ere as in here

• ier as in fierce

• e as in cereal

• ir as in souvenir

• ea as in weary

• eo as in theory
