As a year group, discuss what three areas of healthy choices we have focused on this year:
Taking safe medicines/drugs
Choosing healthy food/exercise
Being a good friend (Wellbeing with Mrs Tipple)
2. Students will be creating an iMovie trailer to persuade people to make healthy choices.
Get into a group of 3-4 in your own class.
Choose ONE of our healthy choices areas from this year.
This trailer should inform the watcher about positive choices that can be made.
Students must ask themselves, what is something that people need to learn about within an advertising campaign.
Dramatise and role-play scenarios, then begin scripting in groups in order to create an iMovie trailer on iPads about effects on our health we have learnt this year.
3. Create groups of 3-4.
Students fill out a mind map from the scripting page to persuade people of how to make healthy choices.
Create a script and begin practising
Work out what props will be needed
4. Make the iMovie Trailer
rehearse the script made and ensure all props are available
create the iMovie Trailer
check it and see if it needs any editing
Celebrate: Each group shares their iMovie Trailer with their class.
