Week One

Your speaking task for this term is to look back through all the poems we have read this year and to choose one of them to memorise and perform for the class in Weeks 5 and 6. You will need to be able to speak clearly, with good expression and loudly enough for people to hear you clearly.

Weeks Two and Three

You will listen to a linguistics presentation on how the English language is influenced by history and other language.

Weeks Two to Four

In Health you will be listening to a range of videos and collecting information from them.

Weeks Five and Six

You will present the poem you have chosen to the rest of the class.

Weeks Seven and Eight

Readers Theatre activities from Lion Witch and Wardrobe

Students to select a character from Lion Witch and the Wardrobe (link with reading unit) and retell an incident/event from their point of view - working in small groups. Use peer to peer feedback.
