What do these symbols tell you about God?
What was the red rope of Rahab a symbol of?
Have a look at this word that has been written in lightning writing and see if you can work out what it says and what it means:

Now, have a go at one of the following squiggle art ideas:

Can you write your own word using lightning writing?
Pull the rope through the hole in the box and progressively read the events listed on the Event tags.
Once the rope is completely out of the box, lay it on the ground and share how it has become a timeline.
What had the people discovered about God through these past situations?
Now read the story Promising God:
• Why did all the Israelites come together?
• Why was it important to do this?
• Name three things Joshua did when the people were all together between the mountains.
• Why was everyone silent?
• Of what did Joshua remind the people?
• Why did Mother have a little stone idol?
• Why did Father smash the idol?
• What does ”As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” really mean?
Look at the different pictures on it and see if you can remember what happened in each of those places:
Look particularly at Shiloh - the home of the Tabernacle where God's Law (Ten Commandments) were kept.
Obeying God's law was to be the way they could honour and show their allegiance to God.
If you are at home, watch this whole video for your Bible lesson.
Watch what happened after the battles of Jericho and Ai:
