-The teacher provides the option for this service, but students must turn it on on their side.

-It can take a few minutes for the icon to show up on the student side

Zoom Recording Layouts

No boxes checked

When screen sharing-

Will only display the screen you are sharing, not the speaker or participants no matter what you see.

When just Zooming- it will follow your view option you choose for you.

When screen sharing-

Recording matches what you see. Small line shows no one, second line shows side gallery of participants. Third line shows you at the top and gallery of others below. So no way to just show speaker here. Not sure how different than 2 boxes checked.

When just Zooming- If you record speaker view, only speaker shows up in recording. Gallery shows all people in video. Doesn't necessarily match what you see on your screen.

Speaker view- regardless if you see others, only the speaker will be viewable in the video.

Gallery view- You will see the gallery of faces in the recording.
