Staff: Meant for consumers, not needed. We have enterprise accounts and have more robust features when we use Chat & Meet.

Use: Great for group collaboration (especially compared to email). Designed for team use, similar to products like Slack, as it has direct chats as well as team channels & threaded discussions. Easy to share files, photos and to initiate a video call (Meet)
Staff: Available to all staff, because we have enterprise accounts.Be aware, just like email, all messages are backed up by the district. The software works on all devices. Can easily initiate a Google Meet video chat through Chat. Perfect for PLC use Meghan’s Rough Notes on GHC

Great tool for Classrooms
Use: Video conferencing for enterprise users (such as our school district). Similar to Zoom. Has a 250 participant limit. Built in closed captioning. Students already have accounts. Integrates well with our other Google Products. Participants have to have a Camas account to join, increasing safety.
Staff: Staff can use. Integrates well with Google Calendar & Google Chat.
Students on District Chromebooks: Allowed to join a Meet but not create a Meet.
