CSD-Guest: Anyone is able to connect to this Wi-Fi SSID with school or personal devices. You will need to open a browser and click "Accept". By design, it will disconnect after 30 minutes of inactivity. There is no access to internal items, such as network files. Not able to get to social media.
CSD-Staff: Staff is able to login to use this for the day on any device. If students try to log in, it will lock them out for about 30 seconds. It will disconnect after 8 hours of inactivity. Able to get to social media.
CSD-Devices: District-purchased laptops should automatically connect to this SSID.
csd117: This is a Wi-Fi SSID, and is for district-purchased mobile devices, such as Chromebooks and iPads. It should automatically connect. This is also the name of the free Wi-Fi on our buses that are parked within the community.
CSD-Ops: This is reserved for items like vacuum cleaners.
Having Wi-Fi problems? If a student is still having a problem connecting to the internet, having them go to Guest is your best bet.
Apple Devices Using Guest Wifi - 2/7/22
If you use the CSD-Guest or CSD-Staff wireless SSID from an Apple device, you will find the web authentication page does not always pop up. This does not effect devices from district carts.
There is a workaround.
-Once you connect to either of those SSID, open Safari
-In the address bar put 192.0.2.100 or wireless.camas.wednet.edu
-If on the CSD-Guest SSID, the “Accept” page will pop up
-If on the CSD-Staff SSID, the “Login” page will pop up.
This is only on Apple devices which connect to those SSID. We are looking into to why this is happening.
