How do I know which PD opportunities qualify for compensation?
Must be outside of the regularly scheduled work day.
Must be an offering from the CSD, CEA, OSPI, ESD, colleges or other professional organizations.
If you have any questions about whether a course will qualify, check first with your supervisor. You can also contact Marilyn Boerke or Lisa Greseth with questions.
1. Obtain a Clock Hour Claim Code from the instructor.
2. Log in to www.pdenroller.org. Need help with your pdEnroller account? Go here
3. Go to the Clock Hours Dropdown Menu and click the link to “Claim Clock Hours”
4. Enter the claim code from your instructor (not the course number).
5. Complete the online evaluation.
Your hours will be verified by the ESD once you have entered the code, completed the evaluation and your instructor has uploaded the attendance roster. Clock hours may take up to 30 days to be confirmed.
To access your pdEnroller transcript, sign in at www.pdenroller.org, and under the Clock Hours dropdown menu, go to “My Clock Hours." From here you can download your PD transcript.
To access your clock hours on file in Skyward: Log into Skyward, Employee Access, Employee Information, and under Personnel, you can click on Prof. Development. This list is updated annually from your pdEnroller transcript around September.
While these required courses do not qualify for PD reimbursement, they do qualify for clock hours. The claim code for the 20/21 school year is 7HL-EY9. Be sure to sign in here when you have completed the course.
If the course offers a pdEnroller Claim Code, follow the directions above, under "Claim Clock Hours."
If the course does NOT offer a pdEnroller Claim Code, you have two options.
If you would like the hours to be on your pdEnroller transcript, email your clock hour inservice registration for or transcript to Britt Becker at britt.becker@esd112.org. Britt will also take certificate of completion forms from colleges and universities for CEU's and PDU's. The certificate of completion must contain the name of the sponsoring college/university with the training title/date/number of contact hours. Transcripts from pdEnroller are shared with the Camas School District in late September as well as auto populate to your EDS account. Please note the hours must be earned from an approved OSPI clock hour provider. For non providers, we will need to submit a proposal through the ESD 112, that way the ESD sponsors the clock hours. University hours are also an option.
If you would like the hours to be immediately reflected on your Skyward account (usually for those submitting clock hours for salary scale purposes and are near the deadline), mail your clock hour registration form or transcript(s) to the CSD Talent Development Department, currently Carol Sasse. The clock hour registration form or transcript must include the number of hours awarded and a signature from the facilitator. Be aware this will not be reflected on your pdEnroller transcript.
Camas School District provides up to 14 hours of reimbursement per FTE for attendance at voluntary professional development activities of the employee’s choice. Attendance at activities will be paid at the curriculum rate. Professional development activities must occur outside of the contracted workday, and may include NBCT. These professional development experiences must be provided by either the Camas School District or a reputable professional organization. Follow the directions below to access PD pay for courses outside and inside the district.
PD Reimbursement will appear as "Staff Dev" on your paycheck. Your building administrative assistant can help you find out how many hours you have used or have left. To find out more about your Professional Development Compensations, go here.
Attendees must sign in on the Attendance Roster provided by the instructor. Sign-in must be legible and include name, school, signature, date and hours attended. The instructor will submit the Attendance Roster for approval and payment.
The instructor will create and submit an Attendance Roster to the district for approval and payment. The attendee does not need to do any more than attend the course and complete the requirements of the instructor.
