Colleagues,
Happy New Year! I wanted to share a reminder of the upcoming pdEnroller/E-Certification integration later this month. As you know, educators are currently required to manually input their clock hour certification data into two separate systems - pdEnroller & E-Certification. A software update, funded by OSPI, now allows for transcript data entered in pdEnroller to be automatically updated in E-Certification. The integration of the two systems will create a more streamlined process for clock hour certification. Below is additional information regarding the integration. Please share this information with your staff.
Q: Why was this change made?
A: We received feedback from educators reflecting a desire for a streamlined process that would save time and data entry in entering clock hour information into E-Certification.
In response to this request, the ESD’s have been working in partnership with OSPI to streamline the process for educators to have their clock hours automatically uploaded in E-Certification.
In mid-January 2021, OSPI’s E-Certification will begin accepting clock hours transmitted electronically from participating clock hour providers. The pdEnroller system will be the first provider to participate, with opportunity for other clock hours providers to follow.
E-Certification will receive clock hours information for any educator who holds a certificate and who has an EDS & pdEnroller account.
Q: When does this change go into effect?
A: Beginning mid-January 2021, clock hours earned through pdEnroller will automatically be uploaded into OSPI’s E-Certification system.
This change will apply to clock hours earned starting July 1, 2015.
E-Certification will receive clock hours information for all pdEnroller accounts linked to an EDS account. Accounts must have matching emails.
Check https://www.pdenroller.org/ecert to see if your account is linked to EDS.
Q: What are some of the benefits for users:
A: The integration of the two systems (pdEnroller & E-Certification) saves time and minimizes data entry for the certificate holder, making the clock hours certification process more seamless and less time consuming for users. Plus, it’s free! There is no additional cost once clock hours have been earned*
*Clock hours in pdEnroller are not considered earned until attendance is verified, the survey is completed, & payment is processed.
We’re excited about this integration and appreciate your partnership. Please let me know if you have questions.
Take care,
Mike Nerland
