The "Team Dashboard" template is centered around the "Board" view and is most useful for managers seeking to understand their team's current workload at a glance, as well as the current status of tasks assigned to subordinates. Moving left to right, the board breaks down all tasks into the following columns:
On Deck (unassigned and assigned)
Tasks not currently started, but are "on deck" to be started at some point in the future, these tasks can be unassigned, meaning a team member, or the manager should assign responsibility for the task to someone in the project, at which point they should be assigned, and moved to the assigned column. Some tasks may move directly from "on deck - unassigned" to "In Progress" if the responsible party is ready to start the task immediately.
In Progress
In-progress tasks are currently, in-progress. All in-progress tasks should have an expected due date. Subtasks may be created under a task, with their own due dates, as appropriate.
Pending Verification
Upon completion of a task, the task should be moved to "Pending Verification," managers can use the column to see the work their subordinates have completed, and then approve that work. Work that does not meet approval can be moved back to the "in-progress" column. Managers should update the task with a note explaining why the task failed to meet expectations, and adjust the due date as required.
Completed
When a manager does approve a task during the "Pending Verification" portion, they should move the task to "Completed," and inform the subordinate their work was approved. This is also a great opportunity to leave written feedback and appreciation for exceptional work directly on the task.
Tasks should move through these colums in this order.
