ACCOUNT SECURITY
Members of an alias group can request to "send mail as" that alias group's address, allowing you to compose and send messages as the group to another person, and any response to your message will be sent to the whole group.
The group will NOT have access to the originally sent message, until the user responds.
Log into your Burning Man provided email account, and navigate to your settings via the Cog in the top right > "See all settings"
Click on "Add another email address," a pop up window will appear:
Replace the "Name" field if you want, and add the Email address you want to send from to "Email Address"
Click "Next Step >>"
Then click "Send Verification"
If you are a member of the alias group you requested the address for, check your inbox for a message from gmail-noreply@google.com containing a link to approve your request. If the alias group is a service cloud address, log into service cloud and check the queue for the request:
Click the link included in the email to approve the request, and you will be met with this page:
Click "Confirm" to get the following message:
THAT'S IT!
You can approve requests on someone elses behalf, EVEN if they are not a member of the alias group or helpdesk for that address.
BE CAUTIOUS WHEN APPROVING REQUESTS YOU DID NOT MAKE, CONFIRM THE EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE EMAIL IS SOMEONE THAT SHOULD BE APPROVED TO SEND.
