You can now select from a predefined set of email templates, which feature images, text elements, and buttons. You can further customize these templates with your own color schemes, logos, images, footer text, and links.
Before you begin - follow these steps to enable "save draft as template". You only need to do this once.
In the Gmail window, click the Settings gear (upper right), then "See all settings"
Click "Advanced" from the headings at the top of the page
Make sure "Templates" is set to "Enable"
If you changed the setting, scroll to the bottom and click "Save Changes"
To create a new layout, open a new message compose window and click on the "Choose layout" button.
2. At the bottom of that window, click "Default styling" to choose color palette and other defaults.
3. Select one of the layouts on the left as the basis for your message.
4. Click button "Insert" to create your message.
5. In the message window, click on any element to change images, text etc.
6. Note that elements can be changed or deleted, but not moved or added.
7. To save a message with layout as a template to re-use for future emails, click on the three dots menu in the lower right of the compose window. Click "Templates", then "Save draft as template".
This menu is where any saved templates will be listed.
