Are you beginning to dread seeing this when you log in to Paycom?
While we are taking action to speed up delivery of these emails, email verification is by far the slowest and least secure form of multi-factor authentication available.
Other options are available!
Go to your SSO user dashboard and choose Settings from the user drop-down menu, or go directly to https://sso.burningman.org/enduser/settings and look for this pane:
NOTE: You may need to click the green button "Edit Profile" and authenticate via email code before you can make changes below.
From here you can have the authentication code sent to your phone via text message, or you can use an authenticator app on your phone or tablet to supply the codes.
I highly recommend the Okta Verify app. It can push an alert to your phone. Just hit the Yes button and you're in!
More and more cloud services are beginning to require multi-factor authentication, and will begin restricting the use of email or text-based authentication. By enabling MFA through Burning Man SSO, we can provide more options for our users while eliminating the need to setup factors for each and every service and most importantly, provide the protection our user's private information deserves.
If you have questions or experience any difficulties accessing your account, help is available through the Tech Help Form
NEW PHONE, WHO DIS?
If you have previously set up Okta Verify or Google Authenticator and you are switching phones, you must follow a two-step process.
Disable that method
Go to your Okta Settings page:
https://burningman.okta.com/enduser/settings
Click Edit Settings (upper right)
Authenticate using alternate method, such as email or text message
Click Remove for the 2FA app you're using. Usually Okta Verify, but can be Google Authenticator or another app.
Re-enable and set up that method on the new phone, following the instructions on this page.
