This week . . . 

• On Monday we played in the gym and played Yoshi, a game where there were two mats and 2 sides for 2 teams to be on. The goal of the game is to get all of your teammates to the opposing team's mat, but if you get tagged you sit down immediately and wait for somebody to tag you. Then you and the person who tagged get to go back to your side for free. If neither teams are doing anything or very little action the supervisor can yell Yoshi and both teams run to their mat and whichever team gets all of their players back to the mat the quickest wins the game. The game is most fun when played in a gym.

• Also a kid in our class had a birthday and shared photos, see photos of him in action below. He wants to be a lawyer then a pro soccer player. He has 3 siblings and his favorite 3 colors black, red and blue.

• We went to the third graders market day sale. There were many vendors. The things varied from toy cars to fresh cake. It was all so cool.

• At the library we found out who killed Sam Westing in “The Westing Game” (the book we are reading with Mrs. Sawatsky)... it was nobody! Ask your kids for more information. See picture of Mrs.Sawatsky reading below.

• At recess many kids played four square. It has gained popularity since the start of the year, kids love it. See pictures below.
