Mrs. Samie Griffin has been hired as the new Head Varsity Girl’s Lacrosse Coach at Jefferson Forest. Griffin is entering her ninth year as a Bedford County Public Schools teacher and her second year at JFHS. 

Coach Griffin played four years of Varsity Lacrosse at Patapsco High School in Baltimore, Maryland where she was a four-year first team All-Divison player and earned the school’s Most Outstanding Female Athlete Award as a senior. 

Griffin also played four years at Randolph College where she was the second-highest goal scorer on the team her first season before transitioning into a defender in her sophomore season.

 Coach Griffin looks forward to “growing the game in the Forest area and building a strong, successful program.” She also stated, "I cannot wait to meet the players get to work this off-season.”
