Stuart Gibbs is the Cross Country Head Coach at Jefferson Forest High School. He previously served as an Assistant Coach and brings a strong passion for running and developing student-athletes to the program.

Coach Gibbs developed a love for running after beginning the sport as a way to improve his fitness and train for a marathon with friends. What started as a personal challenge grew into a lifelong passion for the sport and a desire to share that passion with others.

Originally from Farmville, Virginia, Coach Gibbs moved to Forest during his sophomore year of high school. He is a graduate of Jefferson Forest High School and later attended Liberty University.

Before joining Jefferson Forest, Coach Gibbs taught at Staunton River High School, where he also coached Debate and Scholastic Bowl. He has spent his career in education and is dedicated to supporting students both in the classroom and through athletics.

Coach Gibbs is excited to continue leading the Jefferson Forest Cross Country program and being a part of the Cavalier community.
