Using Miscue Analysis and Retrospective Miscue Analysis to Build on Two Young Readers’ Strengths
This study reports the findings on a case study of Erin and Roy as they participated in Miscue Analysis and Retrospective Miscue Analysis. These procedures show their reading process and spotlight their strengths and strategy uses while looking at miscues as a potential that can be changed into strengths.

A second-year Ph.D. student at the University of South Carolina. I am a native of Korea and bilingual in both Korean and English. I received my B.A. and M.A. in English education in South Korea. After working as an EFL teacher in public secondary schools for several years, I moved to the USA in 2019. My research interests are studying English teaching and learning methods for EFL students, language ideology, multimodal literacy, bilingual/multilingual education, second language acquisition, and miscue analysis.
