Can L2 learners predict syntactic structures as L1 speakers do? Evidence from an English NP-coordination structure
This project investigates the extent to which L2 and L1 speakers resemble or differ in their ability to predict syntactic information. To this end, we conducted a self-paced reading task and an acceptability judgment task. The results showed that L2 speakers can predict syntactic information as native speakers do.
