TRANSPORTATION CHANGES

Parents should communicate a change in the way a student goes home by accessing the platform “Transportation Changes” which is located in PowerSchool. In addition, if the change occurs during the day, please email your child's homeroom teacher.

See the diagram on the right for directions making a change from your computer.

If you want to make a change using your mobile phone:

1. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE POWERSCHOOL APP on your phone. Instead, using your preferred browser on the phone, go to the American School official website and choose the 3 lines that appear to the right of the magnifier.

2. A menu will appear with 3 titles on top. Click on the one that says PowerSchool.

3. Log in to PowerSchool with your credentials (login name and password).

4. Once in PowerSchool, choose Transportation Changes in the menu that appears to the left of the screen.

LEAVING EARLY PASS

Parents should collect a child who is leaving before 3:45 pm from the Lower School Office for a "Permission to Leave Campus" pass prior to taking your child off the campus. The authorization needs be given to the gate guard when leaving the property. Without this authorization, students will not be allowed to leave campus.

STUDENTS CONTACTING PARENTS

Students are not to use the telephone during the day except in case of an emergency. All after-school social arrangements should be made prior to the student coming to school, with parents notifying the school through the Transportation Changes App in PowerSchool.
