ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES
The School admits academically qualified students of all nationalities and cultures taking into consideration, but not limited to, the following: (1) academic ability and aptitude, (2) available space, (3) extra-curricular interests, and (4) financial resources of the family.
Admission to the American School of Madrid is based on the following criteria: (1) a student’s past academic record and performance, (2) appropriate letters of recommendation, (3) a standardized battery of tests, and (4) an interview with the student by the Head of Admissions and the appropriate School Director.
Preference is given to US citizens who can meet the School’s academic standards and financial requirements. Thereafter, preference is given to students who meet the above requirements, who are fluent in the English language, and who have a need and desire for and commitment to an American education.
The School also gives preference to brothers and sisters of currently enrolled students but does not guarantee their admission. Regardless of the date of application, final acceptance is determined by the Admissions Committee based upon previously stated criteria.
