Lunch and Cafeteria Charges

Lunch is served daily in the cafeteria.

Students have the option to buy the “standard menu” published monthly or to bring lunch from home. Parents of students with food allergies are strongly advised to provide their own lunches.

Lower School students do not have access to microwaves for reheating food. We recommend families send food in thermos containers that remain warm throughout the day or purchase the hot lunch provided by our cafeteria company.

LS home lunches are taken to the cafeteria first thing in the morning and stored until lunch time. We ask that parents provide lunch and snacks in separate bags allowing our home lunches to be taken to the cafeteria first thing in the morning- before students eat their snacks.

Lower School students are not allowed to purchase food in the cafeteria at any other time of day, including after school. (If a parent accompanies a LS student to the cafeteria after school, they can only buy food with cash.)

Parents are encouraged to send a snack with their child if he/she needs a snack before after-school activities. Parents are asked to assist our good nutrition awareness program by not sending junk food, candy, or sodas in school lunches or snacks.

Our staff follows the following process when determining if a child can have seconds at lunch.

CAFETERIA CHARGES

Students may charge their daily lunch with signed permission from their parents. Please do not send cash with your child in order to credit the cafeteria account. Parents are encouraged to sign up with the cafeteria to charge their bank account directly. If parents choose not to do this, they must bring cash directly to the head of the cafeteria.
