Early College Program  Introduction

Ideal Preparation For a Creative Future

In your ECP courses, you will work closely with our amazing faculty of practicing artists, designers, and scholars. You will collaborate with peers who are also passionate about their art practice. You will prepare a competitive and high quality art portfolio for college admission and other applications. You’ll also develop social & emotional skills like confidence, creative thinking, communication and much more.

Term Details & Instructional Modes and Formats

The Early College Program offers ON-CAMPUS courses, and SYNCHRONOUS online courses.

• In the Fall and Spring, classes meet in 3-hour sessions with a 15 minute break for 10 weekends

  • Saturday Morning classes meet from 9 am to 12 pm

  • Saturday Afternoon classes meet from 1 to 4 pm

  • Sunday Morning classes meet from 10 am to 1 pm

  • Sunday Afternoon masses meet from 2 to 5 pm

• In the Summer, classes meet Monday through Friday, 9am  to 4pm with an hour lunch and a 15 minute break.

• Synchronous online classes:

  • are scheduled for specific days & times.

  • All class meetings are scheduled for Central Time

  • Students in these courses will use Zoom, Canvas, & SAIC email addresses

Each class works with a Teaching Assistant in addition to an Instructor

Welcome and Next Steps Email

A Welcome & Next Steps email will be sent to you in the days leading up to the start of class. It will include a reminder to complete your next steps as outlined in the following slides.
