Portfolio Review Day

Preparing a Portfolio

As students work to complete a Certificate, they should also be preparing documentation of their work as they complete their courses. 

Your portfolio should include your best and most recent work. It can also include works in progress and sketchbooks. Personal work or work not associated with a classroom assignment that reflects research, ideas, and personal motivation can strengthen the overall portfolio. 

Portfolio Review Day

Portfolio Review Day (PRD) is only offered in the fall and spring. Please note that at this time, participation in Portfolio Review Day is free of charge. 

We encourage students to participate in Portfolio Review Days as many times as they are able to while they are enrolled in courses, however, students are required to participate in a final portfolio review during or after the student's final coursework term.

Students must request a portfolio review day appointment.

The PRD Experience

Portfolio Review Days will be conducted virtually and will be hosted on Zoom. 

The process:

• • Students are required to submit 5 or more images of their work in advance of their review.

  • Students should plan to join the Zoom meeting 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Students are instructed to email the Programming team at saic-ace@saic.edu if they are unable to connect to their meeting.

  • The one-on-one meeting with your reviewer will be 30 minutes in length.

  • After the student’s Portfolio Review meeting, students should check their email to find a message from saic-ace@saic.edu with a link to fill out the Virtual Portfolio Review Day Student Feedback Form.
