Because of recent decisions made by Google, SAIC will be deactivating the accounts of students who are not enrolled in a class for a consecutive year (or 4 terms back to back) If you are not planning on signing up for a class in the upcoming term, please make sure that you transfer any files from your SAIC account you wish to keep. If you have registered for an upcoming term or are working at SAIC or AIC, no action is needed at this time.
Students have up to a year to transfer or export any files. Unfortunately, we do not have an exact date.
Transfer Your Data
If you have data, files, and information you want to save, you can download your files or use Google Transfer to move data from your SAIC Gmail account to a personal Gmail account.
Export Content from Canvas
If you have course materials or files you want to save from your SAIC Canvas account, be sure to log into saic.instructure.com and download content. Please note that students will lose access to Canvas when their Google account is deactivated.
Videos uploaded to the Course Videos section of Canvas cannot be downloaded by default. Unless the instructor changed a setting, you will not be able to download them.
The information in your Canvas account will remain there even after your SAIC account is deactivated. When you take a class in the future and your account is reactivated, you will have access to the same account information.
