Get Your Student ID Card

A student ID is required for all students participating in on-campus courses. SAIC student ID cards are called ARTICards. ARTIC stands for Art Institute of Chicago. To get your ARTICard, you will need to schedule an appointment to come into the ARTICard office, located in the Sharp Building, 37 South Wabash Avenue, suite 254.

When you arrive you will need to tell the security guard at the front desk that you are here to pick up your ARTICard and provide a government-issued ID with photo to enter the building.

To schedule an appointment, visit saic.edu/articard. The ARTICard office has regular hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. They also schedule extended hours on specific days leading up to the start of classes. An appointment is required.

You may have received an email from the ARTICard office requesting that you submit a photo for your ID card. If you have not received that email, you can reach out to them at articard@saic.edu.
