Lesson 77: experiments in Probability
Lesson 77 Learning Objectives:
Compare predictions for experiments with actual results
See that the more data there is for an experiment the more it looks like the expected outcomes

Reflect:
*Reflect in your math journal. Draw, create or write to share your thinking. See Lesson guide 77 for more reflection questions, real life anchoring, playful explorations and creative invitations.
You and a friend both rolled a die 100 times. Your results looked different. Can both of you be right? Why or why not?
Did your predictions change as you got more data?
Math Talk:
Have a conversation about this image. Be curious. Be creative. Can you see in different ways?
What is the same, what is different? Which one doesn't belong?
Scenario to explore: You have the chance to win a trip to the local Museum of Magical Mathematics. All you have to do is roll a 6. You have 3 rolls. You can choose between these four dice with different numbers of sides: 20, 12, 10 and 8. How will you decide which dice to roll? How many chances do you have at rolling a 6?
