• When you roll a die, do you think it’s fair that each number has the same chance of showing up? Why or why not?

• When playing a game, have you ever felt the die “likes” certain numbers more? What might make us feel that way?

• If the weather app says 70% chance of rain, what do you think that means? How would you decide whether to bring an umbrella?

• Can you think of times when the weather forecast was “wrong”? What does that tell us about chance?

• At the end of summer camp, all the children’s names were put into a hat to see who wins a prize. How could you tell if the draw was fair?

• How would it feel if your name wasn’t picked for a long time? Why? Would that be fair?
