a-Helix
B-Pleated Sheets
The 3° structure is determined by the combination of alpha helices (blue), distant beta sheet interactions (green), disulfide bridges (black lines) and the polarity of the R groups. The red sections are random sections of the amino acid that do not have the helix or pleated sheet formation.
