- Set up equipment as shown in the diagram
- Pull out a tape measure from the edge of the slingshot board to the predicted landing distance
- Attach an elastic band to the nails
- Hold a protractor underneath the slingshot
- Aline the slingshot board to the first angle tested (10 ˚) measured using the protractor
- Fix the board at this angle using the books provided
- Pull back the elastic band to the 10cm mark ensuring it is pulled back parallel to the board
- Place the marble between the drawn elastic bands
- Release the marble along with the elastic bands and carefully mark the spot where the marble first lands
- Record results
- Repeat steps 4 to 9 two more times to ensure that you have three trials and so that your test is fair
- Repeat steps 3 to 9 with the range of the independent variable (20˚, 30˚, 40 ˚ 50˚)
Carry out the experiment using a similar method to the one given above and record your Quantitative Data and Qualitative Data in tables like the examples below:

In this section you must include an example of all calculations you have done to change your raw data.
The best example used in your EPI's is calculating a mean though you may have also calculated rate of diffusion, rate of reaction, acceleration, momentum or gravitational potential energy in your EPI's in Year 7.

For this experiment it may be best to plot:
- Angle of Release vs Average Distance (A Line Graph like above)
- Angle of Release vs Distance (A Range bar Graph)
Either take a picture and add the graphs to your EPI Scaffold or take a screenshot
