Use the following writing frame to write about the Data you have collected from your experiment. For examples please refer to the interpreting graphs lesson for additional support:

After discussing whether the ranges of your measurements overlap you can now make a case for whether your range of your independent variable was adequate or not.

A good indicator of whether your independent variable was valid is:

• If the measurements overlap - the independent variable is not far enough apart
• If the measurements show part of a trend or do not investigate the full trend then again the measurements are not far enough apart.
• If your measurements show no correlation or plateau for the majority of your data (produce a straight horizontal line on a line graph) then it may not be worth investigating data that does not change as it does not reveal anything new about the experiment.
