How to Access Your 1098-T Tax Form

The 1098-T form is a tax document that shows how much you paid in tuition and fees. You may need it (or your parents might) when filing taxes.

You can access your form through Workday or Heartland ECSI — here’s how:

Option 1:  Get Your 1098-T Through Workday (Your Student Portal)

1.  Log in to Workday

2.  In the Search Bar, type:

•  "Print My 1098-T"
  or

• "View My 1098-T"

3.  Click the option that appears. Then, you can open, download, or print your form.

or Using the Menu bar in Workday

1.  In Workday, go to the Menu tab

2.  Click on:
   A.  Financials Hub
   B.  Statement and Documents
   C.  View My 1098-T
   D.  Select the year you need, then click OK
   E.  Click Print 1098-T

Option 2:  Get Your 1098-T Through Heartland ECSI

Heartland ECSI is the company that provides 1098-T forms for many schools. If you’re new to it, you’ll need to create an account first.

To Create a Profile (First-Time Users):

1.  Go to: https://heartland.ecsi.net

2.  Click Sign In | Register

3.  Select Create a Profile

4.  Choose a Username

5.  Create and confirm your Password

6.  Enter your personal info (Name, Address, etc.) and click Continue

7.  Set up Security Questions (you’ll need these if you forget your password)

8.  Check the I’m not a robot box, then click Save Your Profile

9.  Go back to the Sign In page and log in

To Connect to Your School Account (If You Already Have a Profile):

1.  Log in at https://heartland.ecsi.net

2.  Go to the School Accounts section

3.  Click Connect an Account

4.  Enter your Heartland Key (a code that links your tax form)

Helpful Tips and What to Do If You’re Stuck

• If you chose to get your tax form by email, you should have received an email from ECSI with your Heartland Key.

• Lost or didn’t get the email?
  Call ECSI’s Customer Service at (866) 428-1098 and ask for a new Heartland Key.

• If ECSI finds a match between your info and school records, your form will appear in your account.

• If your info is close but not exact, you might need to answer a few extra questions.

• If your info doesn’t match at all, call ECSI at (866) 428-1098 for help.
