Registration
Students have multiple tasks and reports in Workday that will be used in relation to their registration and enrollment.
There are multiple ways a student can register for courses in Workday. Select the link above to view step by step directions.
Each semester students will be assigned to-do items that they must complete prior to registering for courses.
Some courses have prerequisites (things that must be completed prior to enrolling in a course). If you have not met the prerequisite(s) but still wish to enroll in the course, you may request an override. Your request will be sent to the instructor of the course. The instructor has the options to approve, deny, or send back to you for additional information. If the instructor approves the request, you can then proceed to register yourself in the course.

Students have the option to designate majors, minors, and emphases. Students should ensure their academic record accurately reflects the programs of study they are pursuing to ensure their progress towards degree completions is measured correctly.
Each academic semester has a last day to drop and a last day to withdraw, which can be found on the Academic Calendar.
Dropped courses will not appear on your transcript.
Withdrawn courses will appear on your transcript with a non-punitive grade of W.
If you plan to drop or withdraw from all courses in which you are enrolled for the semester, reference the instructions for Requesting an Institutional Withdrawal or Requesting a Leave of Absence.
An institutional withdrawal should be requested prior to the withdrawal deadline for a semester.
Approvals will go to Academic Affairs for undergraduate students or the Graduate School for graduate students.
If approved, Workday will drop or withdraw your courses automatically. It will also change your student status to inactive and your program of study status to Institutional Withdrawal. If you wish to enroll in Adams State University in a future semester, you must reapply for admission.
A Leave of Absence (LOA) is a temporary leave from the university lasting no more than 180 days or one semester.
This should be requested prior to the withdrawal deadline for a semester. Requests should include the reason for the LOA as well as the expected return date.
Approvals will go to Academic Affairs for undergraduate students or the Graduate School for graduate students.
If approved, Workday will drop or withdraw your courses automatically. Your student status will stay active but your program of study status will be updated to Leave of Absence.
If a student does not return at the end of the approved LOA, it will be considered an automatic complete withdrawal. If the student wants to enroll in a future semester they must reapply or admission.
