Some courses have prerequisites (things that must be completed prior to enrolling in a course). If you have not met the prerequisite(s) but still wish to enroll in the course you may request an override. Your request will be sent to the instructor of the course. The instructor has the options to approve, deny, or send back to you for additional information. If the instructor approves the request, you can then proceed to register yourself in the course.
Click in the Search bar
2. Type 'request course section prerequisite override'
3. Click on Request Course Section Prerequisite Override task
4. Type the appropriated academic period, for example Spring 2024
5. Click the radio button next to the appropriate term (In general, do not select A or B terms)
6. Enter the desired course subject and number (EX: ANTH 379)
7. Click on Course Section
8. Select the appropriate course section from teh list
9. Click on OK
10. In the comment field describe why this override is needed
11. Review the summary of your request, then click Done
12. Your request will be sent to the instructor of the course. Monitor your Workday notifications, you will receive a message if your request is approved. Your next step will be to register for the course.
