Post date: Aug 01, 2015 10:21:16 PM

July 30

Water  - 21 inches in the tank when we arrived.

Issues - The smell of death has subsided, but the smell of the air fresheners was overwhelming.

The facilities were clean, and everything appeared to be in order.

Observing - The sky was clear all night, and we were on sky from twilight to twilight.

We tried to focus using Vega, and called Chris. His response was "You are saturating the fuck out of the CCD, did you read the checklist?"

Targets observed: EB 787, PTF Polar

July 31

Water - We did not check the water level today.

Issues - None

Observing - The sky was clear all night, we were on sky from twilight to twilight.

Targets observed: EB 947, PTF Polar

August 1

Water - 15 inches in the tank.

Issues - Weird clang noise occasionally when the dome stopped moving, sounded like it was from near the top.

Tracking had issues whenever the telescope was crossing the meridian.

We fixed the issue with a single paddle click right or left to tighten up the tracking.

As long as Geezil was shut down first, it would not hang on shut down.

Observing - The sky started out with thin, wispy clouds but thicker clouds rolled in around 2am, observing was stopped around 0330.

Targets Observed: RR 373, RR 555, RR 789

August 2

Water - Refilled the tank to 23"

Issues - Single wasp nest in the corpse of the old tower, clouds all day, with signs of smokey haze building.

Observing - Did not open the dome due to heavy cloud cover.
