Job Description: Each Instructor is an older troop member proficient in a Scouting skill. He must also have the ability to teach that skill to others. An Instructor typically teaches subjects that Scouts are eager to learn—especially those such as first aid, camping, and backpacking—that are required for outdoor activities and rank advancement. A troop can have more than one Instructor.
Attendance: You are expected to attend at least 66% of troop meetings and activities. You are expected to attend the Spring Skills Campout. You must contact the ASPL if you are not going to be at a meeting.
Notes: The Instructor will work closely with the Troop Guide to train new scouts, and will aid in training all Scouts to achieve the rank of First Class. The Instructor will review skill presentations with the patrol before presenting the skill. The troop can have more than one instructor.
