Scoutmaster & Assistant Scout Masters

Our Scoutmaster works directly with the Scouts and helps them advance, learn new skills, and live by the Scout Oath and Scout Law. 

The Scoutmaster serves at the pleasure of the Troop Committee.  He is principally responsible for a quality Scout-led program that provides opportunities for advancement, leadership experience, and an exciting outdoor program. He also maintains the safety of the Scouts.  The Scoutmaster is the principle supervising adult of the Scouts and adults of Troop 268.  

The Assistant Scoutmasters (ASMs) are responsible for specific areas of the Troop program based upon their interests and expertise; the needs of the Scouts; and serve at the discretion of the Scoutmaster and Troop Committee. Troop 268 currently has ASMs working with EDGE Method, New Scouts, Patrols, Troop Program, Troop Guides, Instructors, Community Service, Den Chiefs and High Adventure.
