Parents are encouraged to show support for their Scout as an adult leader with the troop. Many hands make light work; and the more adult involvement with the troop, the better program we can provide for our sons. Troop 268 policy is that at least one parent/guardian of each Scout register as an adult member of the troop. All adult volunteers are required to complete the BSA Youth Protection Training.
The steps for adult registration are as follows:
Take the BSA Youth Protection Training online at www.myscouting.org and submit certificate of completion to the troop Training Chair.
Complete and submit a BSA Adult Leader Application with payment.
The troop Committee Chair and the Chartered Organization Representative approve the application.
The troop Registrar submits the application to the Pikes Peak Council for final approval.
Submit the BSA Medical Form parts A and B, which will remain on file with the troop.
Complete any training specific to your position.
