1. Picking up litter along the Santa Fe Trail. Troop 268 adopted a 2-mile section of the Trail in 2019 and once a month they hike the Trail, cleaning up any trash or litter they find along the path. If you haven't hiked the Trail, it is a wonderful experience to partake!
2. Writing thank you notes to local fire and police stations thanking them for keeping our city safe!
3. Visiting Retirement Centers. Troop 268 visited the Bonaventure Care Facility in northeastern Colorado Springs and met with the residents. The Scouts came away with a very positive experience and got to share stories with many of these wonderful seniors.
4. Write letters to servicemen and women thanking them for their service. We do this every year during the week of Veterans Day. We try to brighten their days and show our gratitude for what they do for our Country.
5. Participation in food drives like the Annual Scouting for Food project.
