The Troop holds their Annual Skills Campout, usually called the B-52 Campout, every spring. It is called the B-52 Campout due the location, the Scout Camp near the B-52 Memorial at the north end of the U.S. Air Force Academy.
This is a family campout where we invite the Cub Scouts from Pack 268, the Girls Troop (Troop 1268), and parents and families to share in a fun-filled weekend of camping.
The Troop sets up various skill stations to test not only the Scout's skills but also to teach younger Cub Scouts in the many aspects of Scouting. We have an orienteering course (5-miles long), first aid, axe yard, fire-building, ropes and knots, cooking, and other fun skills that Scouts are continually learning and using.
