Students will work independently to accomplish an Independent Reading Bucket List and complete assignments to prepare for weekly quizzes on word roots.
Independent Reading
Students should still be reading at least thirty minutes every night, and discussing what they read with parents.
You have individualized reading goals.
You need to create a sheet with a statement that lists your goal and have a parent sign the sheet each week.
You will keep this in your agenda or notebook and just add the next week’s date and signature.
You will have a bucket list of reading activities. Each 9 weeks you will assemble proof of your points, and submit by the due date.
Independent Reading Bucket List
Accumulate points by completing items from your bucket list! You may only use an item once for credit.
Due by October 20, 2015 - First Completed Checklist. Add this to the folder I share with you marked Independent Reading Projects. I will give you 50 points for the first nine weeks. You will only have to accumulate the additional points you wish to have for this project. You may score up to 100 points.
Due by January 13, 2016 - Second Nine Weeks Completed Checklist. Please remember you may not use an item twice. You may score up to 100 points.
