Activity: Take out a pencil and a piece of paper. Have a partner hold up a mirror. Put the paper against your forehead. Looking into the mirror, write the word good. Look at the word. Did you write it correctly? Try again.

Select one of the articles from my web page below.
Copy and paste the article into a word document. (Google Doc)
Scan the article and look for words you may not know.
Look up the definitions for these words, and cut and paste them near the word in the article. You may want to change the font color, use parenthesis, or a text box.
If there is a word in the definition you do not know, then add the definition of that word to the document.
Summarize the article using the 5 W’s. (Who, What, When, Where, Why or How)
