Create the Graph from Polls

Graphs will be made from polls created by each person or from statistics in research. You can create it on a Google Spreadsheet. They cannot be copy and pasted from other sources.
After making the graph(s), move it to its own sheet using the command in the graph's drop-down (3 Dots in corner) or download it as a .png.
- Remember to add this picture to your google drive project folder
The Movie editor can now go to your graph and save using the command in the graph's drop-down (3 Dots in corner) as a .png file to be used in the movies. Save in your "H" Drive and then upload the image to the Shared Project/ Research folder in Google Drive so all have access to the picture. Then put it in your movie by dragging from your H Drive onto the Movie Maker timeline.

Graph Rules

Use colors to enhance, not distract from, the chart clarity. Contrasting font versus backgrounds, lines, data points, etc. is very important for clarity. (Right click on background, lines, bars etc. on the chart and choose "Format...") Pictures can be used for fill, but be careful that they do not make labels difficult to see.
Chart Title needs to be capitalized, more pronounced (bold and larger font) than the Axis Titles and must clearly identify the topic.
Include a legend when necessary.
Legend, data, and axis titles need to be a size and style that is easy to see.
Double check for accurate data, spelling, and capitalization.

For Pie, doughnut, bubble etc. style:

Use % labels for charts that best exemplify that style of data- eg. pie graphs.

Alternatively, you can copy and paste your graph/chart from your spreadsheet into a google drawing. Simply create a new drawing using the New button while in google drive.

You can now further manipulate your image and download it as a .jpg or .png when done. Make sure this is in your Final Project/ Research folder before downloading it and adding it to your movie.

You can easily create "pop up" effects using multiple images as described in a previous video by saving different versions of the same chart with slices edited in/out or percentages or descriptions, etc and putting them in the right order with the final .jpg showing the fully complete chart/graph.
