Research
Submit research doc:

Poll Q('s):
Create 2-3 Poll questions for the IT Classes to take regarding a situation in school that applies to your theme.
Create a Google Form for your polls in the Shared/ Final Project/ Research folder (your instructor will show you how to do this if you need help).
Rename the form in the top left hand corner with all of your last names.
Have the Form approved by one of your teachers when complete.
When complete, click PUBLISH.
After published, click the "Share" button, and add tryan@oceanschools.org as a EDITOR.
DO NOT "SEND" or "INVITE ME TO FILL OUT FORM" - You must add me as a collaborator.
ANY POLLS THAT ARE LATE WILL NOT BE OFFICIALLY POSTED. YOU WILL BE ON YOUR OWN TO OBTAIN THIS DATA FOR THE FUTURE CHART/GRAPH.
Edit/ Continue Research:
See what kind of pictures are appearing in the shared Final Project picture folder. This may give you ideas for other information to gather.
Finish gathering research. Keep track of sources on your research document in the shared research folder.
Graphics
Make sure all pictures/video are uploaded/copied into the shared folders for the group. into your Final Project/ Pictures folder- this will be crucial when editing your video project.
If your picture are taken on a newer iPhone, they may be in HEIC format and be incompatible with some editing apps. If you find you have HEIC files, use HEICtoJPG to convert your files.
If the app/site you are using is not accepting videos because of their .MOV file format, try converting those files using Screencastify Editor. Simply upload the movie (edit anything if necessary) and export as MP4.
Edit/ enhance the pictures you took in Google Drawings/Spark/Canva- keeping a 4:3 or 16:9 ratio in mind.
Ideas from images on the web that are appropriate to the topic must can be recreated with your classmates to make it OTHS. Share via Google Drive with partners by uploading each picture to the Shared Final Project/ Picture folder.
Script/ Narration Editor
One person open and make a copy of the Final Project Narration Template. Move the document into the group's shared Narration folder. Rename it Group Last Names Narration (eg. Smith Jones Adams Hill Narration)
Read the directions in the planning sheet and begin writing an initial draft of a script based on the directions in the planning sheet.
The movie must be at least 3 minutes and no more than 5 minutes long. Your narration has to cover the length of movie. There can be pauses: up to 10 second pauses spaced throughout the narration to give the audience time to process the text and graphics.
Look at the pictures and research in the corresponding folders to get an idea of a sequence of events for the storyline. Movie Editor
Create the Introduction
Make sure you have an introduction to OTHS, the Class of 2025, and your topic.
As your partner(s) add pictures to the Drive folder, download them and save in your H Drive/ Final Project folder. Then then them drag into your Movie. You should be able to use images/videos in your google drive directly with Spark. Start to arrange a logical sequence that will tell a story; think . . . define the pillar/ behavior, describe it (what does it sound like/ look like) for negative and positive examples, and how can we improve OTHS regarding the behavior as you add pictures
Add transitions between all visuals in the movie timeline.
If you haven't already, watch the tutorial below if you're using Clipchamp.
