*Sisters (Novel)

My name is Kavya and am going to review the book Sisters by Raina Telgemeier. I am only twelve years old, but I have read all her books including Smile and Drama. She writes amazing comic books with rich colorful pictures which spill over all the pages and are full of description. My favorite among all of the is Sisters. I recommend these books more for girls than for boys because it is something you would expect a girl to be more interested in.

This book is a non-fiction story like all her other books. Sisters is a book about the author and her family go on a turbulent road trip. The are stuck in an old Van with no air conditioning. Raina has to deal with an irritating sister which she can never seem to get along with. Her and her family also deal with a broken down car, a ferocious storm, and extremely hot weather. I maintains the main idea of her and her sister. It has the perfect amount of comedy that ties together her true relationship with her sister. I really enjoyed reading this book. At the end of the book the author provides for us a small photo album of her and her sister when they were little. These pictures are from the events that happen in the book. The author also includes a lot of flashbacks which I something really enjoyed, but at other times it seemed as if there were just too many of them. That was not much of a problem, though. There were not many other problems with the book. Sisters has the same characters that her other stories have, but you can read from any book and you will understand the story.

I would give this book four and a half stars out of five because the book is good for only girls. I really enjoyed reading the book because I read it so many times. I finished the book in like an hour because I couldn't put it down. It cost nine dollars. My friend thought that was kind of expensive for a paperback book, but after she read she said that she would of paid more money for it. This book is good for any age group as long as you know how to read. Overall I really enjoyed reading this book and I will probably read it again!
