*Hp Pavillion 17z Windows 8 Laptop*

“So Sleek, So Powerful, So Fun, So Glitchy?”

Don’t you love opening a gift on Christmas. Well I do, and recently I got the Hp Pavilion 17z laptop. It has Windows 8 and a ton of fun features. Being a middle schooler in the 21st century means that I need a laptop for schools work and homework. Also, being a girl means that I need all the new things. The Hp Pavilion 17z laptop is available in colors like black and white. But be careful, it is very sleek and slippery. Don't drop it!

When you first sign onto the computer it says “Welcome”. That means it is time for you to set up your laptop account. You put in you age, name, and email address. If you shutdown the computer and turn it on again, it should say “Welcome ‘your name’ ”. The laptop comes with the feature of buying apps in the Windows store, but you need another account. If you already have a Windows email, then you can buy it right away. But, if you don't have an account you have to make one to buy the desired application. A pop-up appears and says, “ Sign in to purchase app”. I personally don't agree with having to make another account. If I made an account for the laptop, it should count for everything on the laptop. Shouldn't it? I think so.

Also, watch out for some bugs. Windows 8 is brand new and isn't perfect, yet. If you have 5 or more pages open, the computer might drop in frame rate, and/or crash the computer. But like everything else, you have to wear it in. Another glitch is when you go into your desktop home screen, it can crash, or glitch. There are more glitches, but you wont notice them. Being a tech guru myself, makes me skeptical about certain glitches, but don’t worry.

It is also a wonderful laptop. Besides the glitches it comes with a lot of features. For example, a sound recorder, Beats music, Xbox store, photo editor, recipes,Skype, Netflix, and even more! You can even download apps from Google Chrome Store onto your new laptop. I recently got Cut the Rope for free.

Overall, the Hp Pavilion 17z laptop deserves a 9 out of 10 star rating. The computer features are fun, and good for school. The cost is $379.99 and it is completely worth it. If you are a tech guru, like me, you will be hovering over the computer for days, and maybe months. I would highly recommend it. Stay techie my friends!
