*Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Wonders Of Brawl

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is an outstanding game from any angle you look at it. I am an avid gamer of the age of 13 and I have owned this game for 7 years since it came out. I play it about 2 hours a week and after all this time, I still find new things about it to be fascinated by.

Brawl is made for the GameCube and the Wii. I play many games, mostly made by Nintendo like Mario Kart and Mario Striker’s Charged. Also, I play games for the PlayStation like GTA. I don’t necessarily like gun games because they are too gruesome; Brawl is a lot more humane unlike games where you go out killing other people. None of the games I have ever played could even compare to Brawl. It just has so many unique qualities where most games have only one.

The number of pros it has is a multiple of the number of cons. There are so many mini games that accompany the intriguing major games. These swallow up your free time like a black hole but the amount of enjoyment you receive from it is immeasurable. In regular Brawl, the most major part of the game, you can play up to 4 player battles with computers or other players. There are tons of stages to play on and 40 characters each assembled with completely separate attacks. The other major mode is a story mode where in a masterfully constructed plot; all of the characters meet up, defeating evil people on the way, to destroy a final boss. Just to top it off, the music playing in the background is unlike music I have ever heard before and the theme song instantly rushed to the top of my list. It is a great package deal.

However cons come when you try to insert extensions. Usually the game is enough for anybody, but some people want more and buy extensions to the game which they insert into the Wii. These poorly designed extensions can damage the disc and you will not be able to play it anymore. Other than these add-on's, the disc of Brawl can withstand anything. I have had the same disc for 7 years and it has never scratched once. Don’t be mistaken, this is not because I take extremely good care of it, but because it takes care of itself.

Buying the game at a mere $30 seems like a joke to me now after all I have gained from it. I have played it countless times, each time with a priceless amount of fun. Looking back at this purchase, I would have paid $75 for it. I would rate it a full 10 out of 10 stars because I would have thought this game to be impossible to make if Nintendo hadn't outdone itself producing it. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is truly one of a kind.
